Seebühne Bremen

The Seebühne Bremen is located adjacent to the Waterfront directly on the Weser. The area at the Waterfront was already used by Theater Bremen between 2008 and 2010. The Seebühne was developed into an established venue. In recent years, however, the area has not been used for events of this kind. The Metropol Theater Bremen brought the Seebühne Bremen at the Waterfront back to life in summer 2021 and plans to perform there in the coming years.

The 2024 season runs from July 12 to August 4.

Construction

The stage

The stage is located directly on the water, on the lowest three steps of the site. It measures 17 by 12 meters and is 5 by 10 meters high. There are also side stages 4 meters wide and 10 meters long.

Spectators

Some of the natural architecture is used for the spectator area, in the form of the existing steps. The area behind each step is three meters deep; rows of seats are positioned here, the rear one on a 20 centimeter high platform so that every spectator has a good, unobstructed view. Two stands will be erected in the rear area.

Infrastructure / accessibility

Thanks to the cooperation with the Waterfront shopping center, there is a very good availability of parking spaces. The accessibility for spectators coming by car from outside is ideal via the highway feeder road. If you come by train, you can take streetcar line 4, 5, 6 or 8 to the Domsheide stop, change there and take line 3 to the Use Akschen stop. You can already see the waterfront there.
