What makes Lake Störmthal so special? Well, for one thing, it is part of Leipzig's New Lakeland and was created from a former open-cast lignite mine. It is now fully flooded and offers a huge variety of activities. For water lovers, there's everything from swimming and stand-up paddling to sailing and jet skiing. If you really want to take off, check out the VINETA-Fly jet lift - it's like flying over water!

One highlight is definitely the VINETA, a floating church that is also used as an event venue. This thing is truly unique and perfect for photos, weddings or even concerts.
