The Studio Theater Stuttgart, which has been in operation for over 50 years, is tucked away in a green backyard in the city center and is also home to the children's theater KRUSCHTELTUNNEL. Under the artistic direction of Christof Küster since 2008, the theater has continued to develop and is increasingly targeting a younger audience with modern productions. One highlight is the annual performance of a "great classic on a small stage", complemented by contemporary plays by young authors such as Philipp Löhle and Nis-Momme Stockmann. With its fresh, critical productions in a living room atmosphere, the theater has become an insider tip in Stuttgart and the nationwide OFF scene.
