The history of the Höfen is as varied as the history of the building in which the studio is located today. In 1974, the building was first used as a restaurant by the Maschinenhaus, the only discotheque in the district at the time apart from the Lila Eule.
In the eighties
a broadcasting studio for Radio Bremen was built in place of the discotheque, from which the TV show Up'n Swutsch was broadcast every Saturday. During this time, a large number of celebrities from the worlds of politics, music, drama and business made guest appearances there. After the Radio Bremen era, the 'Studio auf den Höfen' pub moved into the former television studio. It was here that the Bremen jazz scene, in particular, came back to life and had the opportunity to perform here on numerous occasions.
In 2009
the venue opened under a new name, the studio.
Warm colors and lights create a cozy atmosphere where the 70s and modernity meet. The studio is a mixture of lounge, cocktail bar and club, creating a unique flair.
