The small sweetSixteen cinema in the Depot cultural venue is a real treasure. Five film enthusiasts (including dog Henry) run the volunteer-run art-house cinema and show ambitious film art programs that are awarded the most important cinema program prizes every year.

Only selected current productions from around the world are shown on the screen, mostly in the original language as well as in the finest analog quality and the latest digital standards. Numerous film festivals, school cinema weeks, director visits and audience discussions round off the program.

On Saturdays and Sundays, children's film screenings take place - under the motto of Schokokuss und Brause. Lovingly staged with the frog "Hiccup" at the box office, fresh waffles, sherbet to lick and chocolate kisses to snack on, as well as a fun gang of cuddly animals mingling among the little guests in the cinema hall.

The KiWaKi is unique in all of NRW. What's behind it? Parents can watch a film from the current program with their babies (recommended up to 12 months). That's KinderWagenKino! The sound is adjusted to suit children, and the auditorium is a little brighter. A crawling blanket, changing table, space for strollers and cuddly toys are also available. So dear parents, go there and relax with a nice movie! The screenings take place once a month in the morning - you can find the exact dates on the website.
