The historic gatehouse in Markkleeberg is part of the ensemble of the former Markkleeberg manor.

In 1998, the Friends of the House opened a small museum on the premises with an exhibition on Markkleeberg's role in the Battle of the Nations and the history of the gatehouse from the moated castle to the present day.
