LATIBUL (formerly ZAK Circus and Artistic Center / TPZAK, founded in 1981) is home to two cultural education institutions: the theater and the circus education center. Both have a nationwide reputation. In addition to their own productions for & with young people, they offer weekly courses for over 350 participants with subsequent public presentations, as well as weekend workshops and vacation projects on special areas of theater or circus. In numerous cooperations with schools, youth facilities and residences for refugees, they offer projects especially for disadvantaged young people. The Circus Pedagogical Center supports young circus artists on their way to professionalization and advocates for "contemporary circus", for example through NRW-wide circus pedagogical training for young people. As a state-approved educational institution for theater and circus pedagogy, LATIBUL is always on the lookout for new ways of working in pilot projects.
