Backseat is a Hamburg-based music agency founded in 2017 by Sebastian Król and Arne Thamer. We develop individual PR campaigns for releases in the fields of indie, folk, pop and rock. We cover all media fields (radio / print / online / TV) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We currently support the following bands, among others: Bilderbuch, Black Sea Dahu, Jordan Mackampa, UCHE YARA, DOTA, Max Prosa, Grandaddy, Beharie, Get Jealous, and many more.

In addition to PR activities, Backseat is also actively involved in the management of the artist C'est Karma as a label. Together with The Orchard as our distribution partner, we are able to distribute our releases worldwide. So far, music by the following bands has been released on Backseat: Ami Warning, C'est Karma, GINA ÉTÉ, Roosmarijn, Soeckers, Signe Marie Rustad, Kliffs, Ian Fisher, Carnival Youth, BRTHR, Noth, The Bland, DI-RECT, Jonas Alaska, Of The Valley, Albert Luxus, Jo Goes Hunting, Penny Police, I'm Not a Blonde, Native, Brett Newski, Grapell, Martin Baltser, Cub & Wolf, Big Fox, Michael Moravek, Peter Piek & Karwendel.

Backseat is in charge of music booking for the NORDEN Festival in Schleswig.

In 2021, Sebastian Król and Arne Thamer also founded Fanklub Music FKM GmbH, a new platform for bands and fans: fanklub.com
