Since the 2010/2011 school year, a class at Passau Vocational School 2 has been organizing the "Piano Contacts" series of events.

Instead of constructed learning situations, the pupils learn to take on real action competence and responsibility as part of a school project by preparing and accompanying a public concert evening. Their minimum goal is to generate an event that at least covers the costs. Surpluses are used for other school projects that promote intercultural competence or are passed on to local institutions for humanitarian purposes.

When selecting the artists to perform, the project managers pursue a niche strategy that covers various musical genres such as classical, jazz, Latin and chanson. So far, the following artists have been our guests: Bettina Mittendorfer, Max Greger jr, Tony Bulluck, Anna Veit, Ekaterina Tarnopolskaja, Madoka Inui, Silvia Denk, the "Three Ladies" (Lisa Wahlandt, Andrea Hermenau and Christiane Öttl), Julia Plank, Peter Tilch, the youth choir "Messa di Voce", the "New Piano Trio" (Florian Willeitner, Ivan Turkalj and Alexander Wienand), the "buffoni", a young male vocal ensemble from Würzburg, as well as the trio Sabine Noack, Silvia Denk and Peter Walchshäusl.
