The Kulturküche is a peace-building center for all, which creates opportunities for togetherness in the middle of the city center, is accompanied by socio-educational support and invites civic participation.

It provides a space for a wide variety of workshops, courses, lectures, artistic projects and events for a culture of diversity and greater social cohesion.

The aim of the Kulturküche is to sustainably improve the social and economic living conditions of people in the neighborhood. The starting point is the existing resources and needs of the people, on the assumption that they themselves are experts in coping with their everyday lives.

In times of increasing global and local challenges, small islands of innovative ideas are developing that counter these developments with different attitudes and models of action. One such island is the Kulturküche, a place that counteracts loneliness by connecting citizens in the neighborhood and enabling encounters at eye level. A place where the key cogs of a desirable society, such as the development of democracy, civic participation and the sustainable use of resources, interlock. Everyone is welcome to contribute within their own means - even if only as a hungry visitor to the lunch table.
