More than 160 organizers present their offers and events on the online portal Musenkuss München. They have one thing in common: they are all about art and culture that you can take part in.

For example, you can play theater, paint, experiment, do handicrafts, write, program or make music. There are also various online formats.

There are events in almost every district of Munich.

Some offers are free of charge.

People with disabilities can find out whether the locations and events are barrier-free.

There is a search filter that shows suitable offers quickly and easily.

What is so great about cultural education?

Since cultural education does not provide for an assessable result, there is no right or wrong. You can immerse yourself in creative activities and sing, dance, photograph, write texts, make pottery, draw and much more without being exposed to the omnipresent pressure to succeed at work and school or the perfectionism that prevails in everyday life.

Educating oneself culturally and testing oneself creatively is an essential part of personal development. Cultural participation should therefore be made possible for all population groups. This claim applies regardless of social, cultural and financial background and regardless of disabilities.

Who is behind Musenkuss München?

Musenkuss München has been run by the Coordination Office for Cultural Education of the City of Munich since 2014. It is part of the Department of Culture and is responsible for the three municipal departments of Social Affairs, Education and Sport and Culture.
