Clare Burnett creates vibrant sculptures inspired by their surroundings, using diverse materials and techniques. Her recent works focus on 19th-century looted objects and modern surveillance systems. Raised in France and Belgium, she studied at Cambridge University and the Byam Shaw School of Art. Notable exhibitions include Art Seen in Nicosia, the Royal Society of Sculptors Terrace Commission, and shows at the Royal Academy, National Gallery, and internationally. Her work will be on show in the East Asia galleries at MK&G, Hamburg from 20th June this year. She served as President of the Royal Society of Sculptors from 2015 to 2022.
