About the instructor:
Anna Magnusson Sogell is a licensed physiotherapist specialized in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy
from Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. She also has an Honours B.Sc. in Kinesiology & Exercise
Science (York University, Canada), and a postgraduate degree in Medical Diagnostics & Therapy
(Linköping University, Sweden). During her 17 years as a physiotherapist, Anna has supplemented
her academic studies with certifications in pre- and postnatal training, myofascial release (Anatomy
Trains®), and functional biomechanics. She is also the first woman in Sweden who is a fully-certified
mobility specialist from FRS® Functional Range Systems™
.
Anna broke away from traditional rehabilitation in 2014 when she chose to open her own clinic,
Physiotherapy Stockholm. Anna’s search for a more holistic approach to physiotherapy – combined
with her passion for helping people – led her to develop her own model of assessment and
programming. This model looks at the body through a biomechanical lens, using principles learned
through years of continued education, practical application and own training. Today Anna treats
everyone from dancers and high-performance athletes, to fitness novices and those dealing with
severe injury and chronic pain.
