This is a special occasion as the Cologne based Bands Echoes Among Trees, Halcyon Waves as well as Tation from Tibet, China are joining in to play @ MTC, Cologne (Germany). 

Don´t miss the rare chance to see "Tation" live in Europe. If you´re not seeing them live playing the Dunkfest a few days later, this is your chance to watch the experimental Art group outside of China.  

Combined with the local Cologne based Bands "Echoes Among Trees" and "Halcyon Waves" this is a special post-rock evening.

About Echoes Among Trees

Echoes Among Trees  is a post-rock ensemble hailing from Cologne, Germany, formed in 2022.
Comprised of five members, including three guitarists, the band has cultivated a distinct sonic
identity marked by atmospheric and dynamic sounds.
Drawing inspiration from their surroundings in the post-rock music scene, Echoes Among Trees seamlessly blend intricate melodies and expansive soundscapes to create a captivating auditory experience. Their music evokes a sense of introspection and emotion, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a world of sonic exploration.

In December 2023, Echoes Among Trees unveiled their debut EP, a collection of 4 tracks that showcase their work for the last year as a band.

About Tation

TATION is a postmodernist rock band & art group from Tibet Plateau. They have released 2 albums, 3 EPs, 2 singles, and 10 visual works. They have completed 3 China tours China, and nearly a hundred live shows. They specialize in blending Chinese folk music elements with rock, electronics and experimental music, and even DIY films and installation art for their music, as well as incorporating elements of theater and smells into their show.
In May, they will be the first band to come to Europe from the Tibetan plateau to showcase at tdunk! festival which is recognized as a festival for alternative music in Europe focusing on post-rock, and will embark on a short run tour. They will be joined by performer Sun Ruizhao and artist Gao Yuan to present a total art show that blends physical performance and installation. A unique opportunity to see their multimedia artistic creations incorporating sights and sounds from the place closest to the sky!!
Sun Ruizhao is an artist, performer and theatre creator. Born in China, currently residing in Switzerland. Her artistic practice involves performance, video, film, sound and installation. Passionate about rituals, symbols and sounds. She has collaborated with theatre groups such as Grass Stage,The Physical Guerrillas and Uncertainty Theater, and performed at the Avignon Festival¡¢ Wuzhen Theatre Festival¡¢American Innovation Chinese Culture Festival at La MaMa. She has been invited to participate in many art projects and exhibitions in Yokohama, Zurich and Greece.
Gao Yuan is engaged in the creation and curation of contemporary art, and his art- works involve a variety of media, including per-formance, conceptual, video, etc. In 2016, he founded a non-profit Contemporary art space in Xining called "Xining Contemporary".His works have exhibited in the Power Sation of Art(PSA)musuem , OCAT Art Museum, Hungarian National Museum of Fine Arts, and other institutions.Selected for FIRST International Film Festival, NOWNESS short film awards. Worked as a producer for the 2017 FIRST International Film Festival's "Bella Tarr Directing Camp" and was selected as a young director for the 2018 FIRST International Film Festival's "Tsai Ming-liang Directing Camp".

About Halcyon Waves

Halcyon Waves is an instrumental post-rock band from Cologne, Germany. Aiming to transcend genre-typical dynamics, the three piece outfit allows driving guitars, droning bass sounds and thunderous drums to sit right beside simmering melodies and electronica-inspired beats.

The band tries to create intriguing soundscapes by drawing on the occasional unusual song structure and odd time signature while still retaining emotional immediacy. The music ebbs and flows between different sonic states without losing its focus, inviting audiences to use it as an individual canvas of auditory and visual imagery.

The band was established 2022 and comprises members of Wrestling Vertigo. The band members are Tobi (Drums/Samples), Martin (Guitars), and Dong (Guitar, Bass synth).
