Las muertas de Chihuahua

…and why Europe is a part of the drug war and the disappearing of women in Mexico.

In this event, we want to talk about the drug war in Mexico and the killing of women without reproducing the stereotypical picture of the „criminal Mexicans“ that caused a lot of pain, especially in the last years through the terrible wall politics of the USA. We also want to point out why Europe is part of that drug war, as a lot of drugs are getting consumed here.

We want to invite the Mexican performer Laura Salas, to watch and listen to some Mexican culture and interview the guest speaker Daniela Salas, a women’s rights supporter, who both grew up in Chihuahua Mexico.

Organized by Beyond Color, a Munich based group of people from the LGBTIQA*community with experiences of racism, discrimination and migration. We are involved in anti- Diskrimination, anti-violence and empowerment work.
