Join us for a reading and conversation with Dominique Clarke. Dominique will read from her book "Not your Lolita", but will certainly also talk a lot about her other books, especially her latest "Hogar de Brujas". And of course about all the related topics that interest her and us: about being a woman (in literature), about female oppression, patriarchal structures and so on.

The entire evening will be held in English.

There are about 25 tickets: it's worth being on time, because the best seats are waiting for you right at the front :)
 

About the book:
Not your Lolita is a novel about how, through culture and literature, repression against women is reinforced. From the fact of being more serious in the classroom because "we mature earlier", and we have to test our intellect, to our adolescence where purity is demanded of us but at the same time we are sexualized. What is the origin of all these beliefs?

 

About Dominique: 
Dominique Clarke (Santiago, 1999) Chilean author, passionate about topics such as feminism, sex education and women's literature. Clarke is currently studying Literature and Gender Studies in Germany. More here.
