For the first time we will present an inclusive-forward iteration of hearing and deaf performers exchanging their interpretations of each others poem into German (+ International) Sign Language and German (+ English) Spoken Language.

‘SHAGALI’ (2021) is an award winning visual homage that honors ancestral strength, resilience, and spiritual heritage. Through surreal portrayals of women embodying the essence of Yaa Asantewaa, the film invites audiences on a transformative journey to connect with cultural roots and the timeless presence of those who came before us.
