Laura Robles

In the artist's words:

Laura Robles is an improviser, composer, multi-instrumentalist and researcher, born in Swaziland and raised in Lima, Peru. She wants to develop what she calls "Antigroove", which has emerged from many years of analyzing folk rhythms with a strong focus on Afro-Peruvian folklore. The "Antigroove" creates new possibilities of expression in modern jazz and improvised music. She is already represented on the PANTOPIA Music platform with the album Rhythm & Memory Vol. 2.
