Our highlights of the c/o pop Festival 2023
Save the Date: The c/o pop Festival will take place from April 26-30 - for the 20th time! So we're celebrating our anniversary with an unbelievably good program.
Numerous concerts, talks, readings, dance/DIY events and much more. - On five days on over 30 stages and with more than 160 program highlights, c/o pop provides an overview of pop culture like no other festival. Established live acts are represented as well as national newcomers - a colorful mix that invites everyone to discover new music and cultural experiences. Let yourself be carried away by the music of WILHELMINE, Betterov, Wa22ermann, CATT, Ennio and many more.
In addition to the festival, the c/o pop Convention is also taking place again this year - the industry get-together for the music industry and cooperating sectors as well as the digital economy and games. You can look forward to keynotes, talks, presentations, workshops, training sessions and lots of exciting people from the industry with whom you can network. All topics are practical and future-oriented and deal with socially relevant issues: Music and video production with AI, fake news & beauty filters, the music industry's contribution to the fight against climate change, festivals as platforms for social innovation, female empowerment and much more. You should pay particular attention to the aforementioned TINCON, which takes place as part of the c/o pop Convention. Among others, content creator Kayla Shyx, cultural critic Silvi Carlsson, politician Sarah-Lee Heinrich, the educational initiative Ferhat Unvar and many more will be there. The conference for digital youth culture is free for everyone aged 13 to 25.
Now we come to our five personal festival highlights, which we are particularly looking forward to and which we present to you here:
Crucchi Gang (Eröffnung & 20 Jahre c/o pop Jubiläumsshow)
Wie eröffnet man ein 20jähriges Festival-Jubiläum gebührend? Richtig! Mit italienischen Songs, die nach Liebe, Disco, Sommer und Eis klingen! Die Crucchi Gang - das sind Francesco Wilking, Antje Schomaker, Tristan Brusch, Lina Maly, Sven Regener und Matze von Von Wegen Lisbeth - gibt ihren eigenen Songs ein neues Gewand und übersetzen sie ins Italienische - sei dabei und hol dir dein Konzertticket.
Domiziana
Ihr Song „Ohne Benzin“ ist unverkennbar und hat durch die Dance-Challenges von TikTok große Bekanntheit erlangt. Jetzt kannst du Domiziana live auf der Bühne sehen. Lauter Hyperpop, übertriebene Sounds und starke Texte - lass dir die Show nicht entgehen und sicher dir ein Tagesticket für den Donnerstag.
Ski Aggu
Von Ski Aggu bekommst du authentischen Westberliner Untergrundrap geliefert - Texte übers Feiern, Trinken, Konsumieren und mit Freund:innen unterwegs sein. Das macht Bock! Sehen wir dich auf seiner Liveshow?
The Trailblazer Ball
Die Ballroom Community wurde in den 60er- und 70er-Jahren in New York von und für die afro- und lateinamerikanische Trans-, Drag- und LGBTQIA*-Community gegründet. Sie diente als Überlebensmechanismus und Raum für Empowerment und ist vor allem für BIPOC- und queere Menschen ein wichtiger Kultur- und Community-Space. Auf dem c/o pop Festival treffen sich Jury, Houses, Ballroom Beats und Performer:innen auf dem Runway und zeigen dir ihre besten Posen. Bunt, schillernd, divers und glamourös! Wir sind selbst große Fans.
Der Markt @ c/o pop Festival
Am Samstag und Sonntag wird die Venloer Straße anlässlich der c/o pop gesperrt: In Off-Locations, Cafés, kleinen Geschäften und Kneipen darfst du auf ein vielfältiges Experience-Programm gespannt sein. Zaubershow von Siegfried & Joy, Illustrations-Workshop, Bier-Yoga-Kurs, Heliosturm-Führung, Skatejam Rollerdisco oder Tattoo Roulette - zwischen dem Bahnhof Ehrenfeld und der Leyendeckerstraße kannst du so einiges entdecken.
