Eating pasta in Munich

Pasta e Basta is the category on the menu that will satisfy your pasta cravings at the fine Italian restaurant Vino e Gusto. Admittedly, the prices here are not just a little high, but really high, but this is partly due to the special ingredients. For example, you can choose between spaghetti with fresh vongole mussels, garlic and pepperoncini for 22.90 euros or tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, garlic and pepperoncini for 21.90 euros. If you don't want to break the 20 euro barrier, you can order orrechiette with homemade pine nut and basil pesto for 17.90 euros. Whatever you pay for here: good service and the feeling of really sitting in an osteria in Italy for an evening.

There is a small store in Maxvorstadt that only serves fresh and handmade pasta. In addition to the classics, which are always a hit, La Nonna also offers more unusual creations such as "Pasta Avovederci" with avocado, mint, parsley, lime and pistachio. There's not much space here, but you can always take a portion with you. And not to be neglected: In addition to first-class pasta, you'll also find good drinks on the menu. Saluti!

Lollo Rosso fans should know the feeling: Every time you visit this cozy restaurant on Wörthstraße, you'll stay seated until the last minute. In addition to the charming interior, Lollo Rosso also impresses with its handmade pasta. The focus here is on the classics: Aglio Olio, sage, carbonara, tartufo and, of course, Napoli. From time to time, you can also expect a more unusual variation on the daily menu, such as tagliolini with pistachio pesto and stracciatella di bufala. (the cheese, not the ice cream).

First there was lots of pinsa, now there is also lots of pasta. And the young Romans are really good at that too. In addition to various types of pasta with classic and unusual sauces, gnocchi are also very popular here and have been given their own section on the menu. But back to the pasta: we recommend pasta alla Norma consisting of penne rigate, tomato sauce, eggplant, basil and ricotta salata. It always tastes good.

Our Happy Place in Giesing not only serves damn good craft beer, but also serves you handmade pasta. What the pasta comes with, i.e. which sauce, is only revealed each time you look at the menu of the day. But one thing is certain: there is always an option for vegetarians and at least three pasta variations. Oh, so far, every visitor has staggered out of the Ambar happy. Just a happy place.

Originally located on the edge of Elisabethmarkt in a small stall, Casa Sarda also had to move a few meters further into one of the containers during the ongoing renovation work. But it doesn't matter, the pasta still tastes just as good. Above all, it is freshly prepared every day! The menu varies daily, so it's worth taking a look at the daily menu. Another thing we really appreciate is the friendly, informal service.

As chic and hip as the always full restaurant in Maxvorstadt looks, we have to make one concession: the pasta is delicious. You can choose between four different varieties: Pappardelle al Ragu, Conchiglioni Stracciatella all` Arrabiatta, Linguine Gamberetti and Fettucine Tartufo. No matter what you choose, it will bring you a little closer to pasta heaven. Unfortunately, this feeling of elation also costs a little - the dishes vary in price from 12 to 19 euros.

If you don't feel so comfortable in fancy stores, you should head to Untergiesing for a round of pasta. At La Fattoria, it's less about the ambience (which is rather plain) and much more about the pasta on the plates. What we love here: Sharing pasta. If you're out with a friend, you can order several pasta dishes and have them placed in bowls in the middle. This way, you can try your way through different pasta dishes in a relaxed manner and feel like you're sitting somewhere in Italy. It also works very well with desserts: a plate of tiramisu, panna cotta etc. in the middle of the table and lots of spoons to go with it. Not fancy, but very relaxed.

In the heart of Munich's old town, you can enjoy the best espresso, breakfast, Aperol Spritz and, of course, pasta dishes in an Italian-inspired atmosphere. Unfortunately, we can't tell you exactly what's on the menu, because the concept works like this: The menu is different every day. As far as pasta is concerned, there are always four dishes to choose from. So don't worry, there should always be at least one variation for everyone.
