10 Jahre bunker_k101 | Ort der Erinnerung | Raum für Kunst & Kultur

In the organizer's words:

September 1, 2014 was a date of particular historical significance: the First World War began 100 years ago and the Second World War 75 years ago.

It is therefore no coincidence that the Förderkreis Hochbunker Körnerstraße 101 e. V. made this date its own and opened the first art exhibition in the Hochbunker Körnerstraße on this day.

This was preceded by more than three years of struggle to permanently preserve the bunker in Cologne Ehrenfeld as a place of remembrance and a space for art and culture.

It has now been 10 years since this was achieved. Since then, art exhibitions, performances, readings, theater and dance have found a temporary shelter in bunker_k101.

We want toopen the anniversary year 2024 with a multi-perspective exhibition "10 years of bunker_k101" . The artistic positions are reminiscent of persecution and loss of home, and current global threats from climate change and the throwaway society.
