16th SoloDuo Festival nrw + friends
International Dance Festival Cologne May 10-12, 2024

For the 16th time, Barnes Crossing - Freiraum für Tanz | Performance | Kunst is organizing the annual SoloDuo Festival nrw + friends in Cologne.

The festival supports the internationally networked work and professional exchange of the participating dance artists.

Of the applications from Europe, North America and West Africa , productions from Sweden, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, the Netherlands and Senegal were selected this year.

In addition to the independent international jury (D/PRT/NL), which will award prizes in five categories (Solo, Duo, Solo Newcomer, Duo Newcomer and Performer), this year the audience is once again invited to actively participate in the voting for the Audience Award Solo and the Audience Award Duo.

The Kunstsalon Foundation / Cologne is once again kindly donating the prize money for 2024.

The winners of the respective prizes will be invited to the 26th International SzólóDuó Tánc Fesztivál in Budapest and two selected productions to the 32nd International Dance Festival Almada in Portugal.

The cooperation partner Almada Dance Company will also participate with a performance on the Sunday before the award ceremony.
