Barnes Crossing is not only an event venue, but above all a professional production facility: We offer dance professionals rehearsal rooms and a communication platform - as a non-profit association, we act as a forum for further training, a network provider and a place to promote young talent. Artists receive support, can produce, perform and feel at home. This collaboration allows contemporary dance to have a permanent local presence and enables us to work internationally and locally at the same time. Barnes Crossing creates freedom through support and independence in which innovative experiments can be dared and developed. With our work and approach, not least in our dance education projects with amateurs of all ages, we aim for participation and the experience and expansion of one's own scope for action and play. The team currently consists of 10 dance professionals and represents a broad aesthetic spectrum of contemporary dance and a significant part of Cologne's independent dance scene.
