Shipwrecks are occurring more and more frequently on the world's oceans. A rumor is circulating in the press: Is there an as yet undiscovered sea monster out there that is capsizing the ships? Or is it an unknown, man-made object that is dragging the ships into the depths? Professor Aronnax has to get to the bottom of this rumor, but soon finds himself in unexpected turbulence at sea. Aronnax and a crew member are thrown from the ship. However, they survive on the back of a strange device. Their savior? None other than the unpredictable Captain Nemo. In his submarine, he takes them into the fascinating underwater world threatened by man. However, they soon realize that they are not so much guests as Nemo's prisoners and that he has his very own plans...
