A harmless little show

In the organizer's words:

In a world of constant distraction, we search less for meaning than for the allure of the new. We jump frantically from one image to another. This undermines our ability to engage with the present moment: sustained attention and deliberate slowness are increasingly rare. When we are online, we do not seem to be present in the space our body occupies and cannot fully engage with what we see or hear.

In their work, Martina Martín and her team ask how a dance performance can raise awareness of our complex relationship with social networks. The associated emotions were captured in a text by dancer Georgia Begbie, which became very relevant to the development of the piece:
