Adrian Kasnitz & Ilija Tošić – Ein Abend mit Musik und Literatur für Menschen in Afghanistan.

In the organizer's words:

ARTISTS FOR CAP ANAMUR PRESENTS:

Adrian Kasnitz & Ilija Tošić -
An evening of music and literature for people in Afghanistan.

Adrian Kasnitz reads from: "Bessermann"
(Lauenweber Verlag, Cologne, 2017).

Adrian Kasnitz, born in 1974 on the Baltic Sea, grew up in the Westphalian mountains and lives as a writer and editor in Cologne. He has published over ten individual titles, including the novel "Wodka und Oliven" and several volumes of poetry, most recently "Glückliche Niederlagen" and "Kalendarium". His texts can be found in the lyrical canon volumes "Der große Conrady" and "Lyrik von jetzt". They have been translated into numerous languages, set to music and made into films. He is in charge of the Edition parasitenpresse and hosts the Cologne reading series Literaturklub.

Adrian Kasnitz' novel "Bessermann" tells the story of a reporter in a crisis area. For individual passages in the novel, such as a mission with emergency doctors in Afghanistan, Adrian studied texts and reports by Rupert Neudeck, the founder of Cap Anmaur, for his research.

Ilija Tošić plays pieces from his album:
"RECITAL - A Depiction of the 20th Century"

(Bluehmeer Music, 2024)
