Adventure of a Lost Soldier

In the organizer's words:

Designed in the style of an apocalyptic road movie, "Adventure of a Lost Soldier" by Yanis Yoki (Russia/Lithuania), staged by director Dmitrijs Petrenko (Latvia), unfolds against the backdrop of the end of the world and focuses on the destruction of God and a nuclear showdown. On a mission, a soldier encounters surreal figures such as the fatherland, the rabbit and even God.

This work-in-progress production is being developed as part of the international workshop for directing and dramaturgy "Sammelpunkt" (English: "Focal Point"; Russian: "Точка сборки") by theater makers from Germany and Eastern European countries.

As one of the first attempts at a dialog in the cultural field since February 2022, this workshop aims to create a platform for artists and cultural workers from different countries who wish to express their views on the European historical situation.
