The 5th Friday - Underground Country & Folk Night
Alesh draws inspiration from DIIV, with the melodies coming directly from their music. The music mixes elements of beauty and dissonance. The atmosphere of confusion transports the spirit of Sonic Youth, while the aesthetic is influenced by Slowdive and the dreamlike aggression finds resonance in Nothing. These diverse influences, richly expressed, merge into a sound that embodies Alesh's unique musical identity, offering a unique fusion of sonic sensations that resonate deeply.
GØK2, also known as Göktuğ Babataş, is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer born in Istanbul and currently based in Tallinn. His skillful productions blend elements of dance-punk, electro-punk, punk rock, and break-beat. Witty, dark, strong and groovy sounds. Fused with anger, compassion, and playful honesty. Dance with a punk attitude.
Rooted in the lo-fi singer-songwriter tradition, lonalih's music is rooted in the folk cosmos and can best be described as a mixture of field recordings, ambient and flawed fingerpicking. Her songs are characterized by a warm, direct sound, distinctive alternate tunings and a reduced style of playing catchy acoustic riffs. lonalih's EP Wetlands is out Friday, 13th of September, via Kiepe it real Records.
