The books pile up at home, admonishing towers, shelves full of unknown worlds, waiting to be explored by us. With our backs turned, the books watch us disappointedly as we scroll for hours from reel to reel, meme to meme, story to infopost and back again, while evening after evening passes in which we lie to ourselves. Tomorrow I'll start. Tomorrow I'll read instead of skimming, dive in instead of surfing the surface - and... do... it... but... don't... do... it.
Let's not kid ourselves, the algorithm has us firmly in its grip, we have to outwit it. And what better way to do that than in company?
Idea: We meet, smartphones stay in our pockets or are handed in, comfortably in the foyer of Theaterhaus G7. We bring our books, set an alarm clock and read whatever we want for an hour, all to ourselves, together.
