Space is the Place: On his new album, Angela Aux also greets us from an astronaut's perspective. The timeless record combines the fixed stars of 70s folk, hip-hop producing and post-pop: as if John Lennon met J-Dilla for tea in a computer game or Tame Impala remixed a lost Paul McCartney demo. On the upcoming album "Spacelarking in the Age of Spiritual Machines", the songwriter comments lyrically on the human longing to leave the planet and overtake oneself.

Following the acclaimed hybrid album "Instinctive Travels on the Paths of Space and Time" (album, science fiction narrative and play), the songwriter remains on the subject of the future. On the dreamy longplayer "Spacelarking in the Age of Spiritual Machines", Angela Aux explores the fantastic grey areas of the mythologies of digitalization, space travel and artificial superintelligences. The political scientist counters the "spacelarking" of the apologists around Elon Musk with a set of fantastic trips in the "Kraut-Pop" genre: psychedelic, dreamy and permeated by second and third levels. In addition to classic Aux catchy tunes, "Spacelarking in the Age of Spiritual Machines" consists of experimental compositions between ambient, lo-fi hip-hop and film music. The live show with his fantastic band (Henny Herz, Lisa Who, Nichosta Stampf) is enhanced by immersive projections by AI artist Su Steinmaßl.

Florian Kreier appears as Angela Aux in alternating roles as musician and performance lyricist. The graduate political scientist writes music for film and theater, aphorisms and essays on topics such as sustainability, psychology and feminism. For his 2023 album "Instinctive Travels on the Paths of Space and Time", he created a transmedia play for the Münchner Kammerspiele based on his science fiction novel "After the End of Time". In it, Aux explores the philosophies of trans- and critical posthumanism and interacted with AI software in the composition and writing process. He shares his experiences as a musician and conceptual artist in the age of digitalization in lectures and panels (e.g. Reeperbahn-Festival, M4 Festival Zurich, Hamburg Music School). He runs the label "Inselgruppe" and is a board member of the "Female Peace Palace".
