ANTHROPOS COMPOS

A production by studiobühneköln as part of the UniBühne

Inspired by the philosopher Donna Haraway and her programmatic statement "We are compost, not posthuman", the production ANTHROPOS COMPOS deals with the relationships to this mixture of organic decay and its significance as the basis of life. ANTHROPOS COMPOS focuses on an ecological vision: the confusion and symbiotic relationships remove man from his position as the navel of the world. The compost is more than a figure of thought. It stands for an embodied empathy with the confusion of living beings. We bury old thought patterns and form new alliances with old acquaintances - until we crumble into dust. Homo becomes humus. ANTHROPOS COMPOS does not ask what mankind knows about compost, but what it can learn from it.
