Ashton Nyte

Ashton Nyte is a South African-born singer-songwriter, author, multi-instrumentalist and producer who now lives in the United States. He has released 8 solo albums and 2 books as well as 11 albums as gothic/darkwave act The Awakening. He has collaborated with members of The Cure, Peter Murphy, The Mission, All About Eve, Beauty In Chaos and others. His most recent album, the cinematic dark folk work Autumn's Children, was named one of the 17 best albums of 2023 by American Songwriter Magazine.

He has written and starred in theater productions, hosted charity events such as his "Rock Against Rape" concert series, and lectured at US universities on tolerance and acceptance. Ashton has released a catalog of over 300 original songs and his music has been featured in international films and on television. Music journalists refer to him as "Johannesburg's Bowie" due to his diverse musical styles and theatrical delivery. Ashton last performed in Hamburg in 2019 and is looking forward to this special, intimate solo acoustic concert with songs from The Awakening and his solo work!
