Several children share a cake. Is it fair if everyone gets the same amount? What about the person who baked or the one who is particularly hungry? The deeper you delve into the topic of justice, the trickier it gets! In this book, Assata Frauhammer explains to children what justice is and how difficult it can be to always act fairly. In an easy-to-understand way, she describes what justice has to do with democracy, what communism is, why intergenerational justice is important and how we can look at inequality in the world.
Assata Frauhammer, born in 1991, studied journalism in Freiburg and Strasbourg. She works as a freelance journalist and author and prefers to write about exciting non-fiction topics for children. She lives north of Stuttgart with her husband and two sons.
