In his long career as a touring rock musician, Austria's leading Freddie Mercury interpreter Austrofred has experienced quite a few things - and filled several successful books with them. But there are a few stories that he has never told anyone, for fear that people might say, go on, he's completely crazy now, Fred. But everything comes out at some point! The silence comes to an end.

Goosebumps is about UFOS, urban legends, occult rituals, ghost and horror stories, patron saints and the prophecies of the Lower Austrian seer Mostradamus. Heavy stuff. And all at first hand and supplemented by fact checks and numerous do-it-yourself instructions (hypnotizing chickens, never being buried alive again, my own UFO landing site).

In Austrofred's own words: "I am one of the most scientific people I know and I approach all these phenomena with the sharpest instrument at my disposal, namely the dissecting knife of common sense. As a result, I am probably one of the most credible sources of paranormal phenomena imaginable. Especially as I have a very high IQ. I mean, I haven't had my IQ measured yet, but you can just sense something like that."

This is not only extremely entertaining to read, it is also read out excellently by the author himself, at a lecture level that is at most comparable to the Burgtheater, although the Burgtheater has also been massively downsized recently, no offence. He also performs appropriate and timeless songs from his now classic "Queen-goes-Austropop" canon in this show. And let's be honest: anyone who sings the lyrics of "Märchenprinz" to "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Schifoan" to "We will rock you" is either a genius or a genius.
