On 7 September, author David Nicholls, author of the bestselling novel "Two in a Day" (recently filmed as a Netflix series), will read from his new novel "Two in a Life" in the Clinker Lounge of the Backfabrik.
The evening will be hosted by editor Dr. Cordelia Borchardt.
The German voice will be spoken by actress Tatiana Nekrasov. The reading will be partly in English and partly in German. German passages read by Tatiana Nekrasov

Marnie is stuck. She lives and works alone in her London apartment and struggles with loneliness. But the loneliness is about to end.

Michael is about to lose himself. Since his marriage broke down, he has had to learn to function as a one-man show. He doesn't yet feel ready for the company of other people. The only time he finds peace is on long walks.

David Nicholls, born in 1966, trained as an actor but then decided to write. His novel "Two in a Day" was his international breakthrough; his books have been translated into forty languages and have sold over nine million copies worldwide. David Nicholls is also extremely successful as a screenwriter and has won several awards. The author lives in London with his family.

Tatiana Nekrasov is the daughter of Russian screenwriter and director Andrei Nekrasov. She had her first roles in the short feature films Leoni and Fenster und Gardinen in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, she studied acting at the European Theater Institute in Berlin.[1] In 2012, Nekrasov starred alongside her father in the TV series Lebt wohl Genossen. It tells the story of her family's life in the USSR.[2] The TV series received the Adolf Grimme Award in the Information category in 2013.

Since 2017, Nekrasov has mainly appeared in TV films and series, for example several times in Tatort, Die Auferstehung (2018), Polizeiruf 110 (2019), Alarm für Cobra 11 (2019) and Ein starkes Team (2020). In 2020, she played Magdalena van Beethoven in the feature film Louis van Beethoven.
