AzudemSK is classic. And there are apparently some hip-hop clichés that the artist is able to fulfill with a grin. It's his own fault, you might think. But it's probably not that simple.
Ralf explains his life to himself. And the others as well. Ever since hhv.de (Berlin) decided to press his underrated head-nodding stuff onto record in 2014, the audience has been growing rapidly. Die-hard listeners know what they like about him.

Heartfelt, energetic, a bit pathetic. On stage and in the subway. Since 1999, he has been on fire for what others call hip-hop. Hip-hop as it is written in the books. At least in the old ones. Too lazy to breakdance, too poor to DJ, too shy to rap. Graffiti came in handy. But at some point it was no longer enough for him to realize himself.
And that's what it's all about, you can tell from him and his music. Unvarnished, absolutely. Emotional where others just drone phrases, embracing where others pompously raise their fingers. And on far more than just sound, which is too easily attributed to the Golden Era. There's rapping on jazz, sometimes acapella, sometimes the DJ is called in to cut the breaks live, just like when rap first took off in the early 80s.

But as we all know, the big picture is more than just the sum of its parts. And so being profound and light-footed is not mutually exclusive. Playing support for Evidence and Frittenbude is not mutually exclusive. It's not mutually exclusive, like graffiti on trains and reading Nietzsche.
The discography has grown every year since "Classic" (2014), early releases are now high-priced collector's items and the current sales figures are anything but underground.
