JAZZTAGE DRESDEN - Tommy Emmanuel

For fans and guitar gourmets worldwide, Tommy Emmanuel's status as a driving force in the contemporary six-string scene is unassailable - and rightly so, given the instrumental and compositional superlatives that the Australian has always offered on studio albums and stages. He can therefore already be described as a regular guest at the Jazztage Dresden.
According to the legendary Eric Clapton, "the greatest guitarist I've ever seen", he has taken the acoustic sub-genre to a whole new level with his work and made sophisticated craftsmanship accessible to the mainstream with both stylistically diverse original compositions and cover versions of a colorful array of role models (Beatles and many more).
In 2024, Emmanuel will once again embark on a world tour - together with "Best of Tommysongs", an artistic assessment that is both a retrospective and music for the future. The program will include Tommy classics carved in stone as well as one or two surprises and, last but not least, a preview of what Mr. Fingerstyle will have up his sleeve beyond 2024 ...
