Laura DeAngelis & Armonia Stamataki: In Our Clubhouse
"How can we understand something as fragile as intimacy? It's about authenticity, about getting as close as possible to our true selves. In Our Clubhouse is an artistic exploration of intimacy to create a connection between us and our audience that feels safe and authentic. The piece is a series of dialogs that fluctuate between physical and verbal expressions. Our dialogues simultaneously allow media experiences to speak to interactive photographic projects to create an experience that is both intimate and multi-sensory. We explore communication with our bodies and words that brings us closer together.
In Our Clubhouse is an exploration of where our boundaries lie and what happens when we share our most intimate selves with others. We hope that our radical honesty radiates beyond the stage and creates a collaborative environment where our audience feels equally safe, seen and validated in their authentic expressions."
