Bauhaus Spielraum. Original Bauhaus-Übungen zum Mitmachen

"Bauhaus Playroom. Original Bauhaus exercises to join in" is a room installation in the temporary bauhaus-archiv. It gives a foretaste of the future educational program in the tower of the new Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin. Visitors are invited to try out selected exercises from the preliminary course at the Bauhaus on their own. At the stations, visitors can draw and write on paper and work spatially with various materials. The results of the work remain on site and show the creative power of the visitors to the temporary bauhaus-archiv and the diversity of the historical tasks.

The offer changes, because the basic exercises taught by various teachers at the Bauhaus are a rich source for dealing with design, art and space. Exercises from the "Original Bauhaus Exercise Book" are selected for the stations, which can be worked on with simple means. For example, an analog typewriter is used, as office technology was also used as an artistic tool at the Bauhaus.
