BCUC (Soweto)

The seven-piece band BCUC has captivated audiences both locally and globally with their indigenous funk and energetic performances that have quickly made them one of South Africa's most successful music exports. "Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness" (BCUC) see their music as a hedonistic trance, but also as a weapon of political and spiritual liberation. Jazz sounds from the productions of the 1970s and 80s, replaced by hip-hop influences and punk rock energy, take the listener on a fascinating journey.

Sinem (Munich)

No either-or! Sinem, the band, combines Turkish vocals with New Wave memories of the 80s. Arabesque rhythms meet minimalist synthesizer basses, electronic sounds and raw guitars. Musically, boundaries are broken down and spaces are created for maximum freedom of movement - on and in front of the stage. Sinem, the singer, reinterprets classic Turkish pop songs and creates her own songs. She establishes a connection to the experiences of the "Gurbetçiler" generation and brings them to life in the here and now. La Cometa Sónico (Munich)

Cosmica Bandida's radio show and DJ set El Cometa Sónico is a reunion of sounds that influence the band's musical practice. The music selection, sometimes made for the radio and sometimes for parties, explores dark cumbia and psychedelic music that involves the body. From the frontiers of Peruvian fuzzy punk to nostalgic reggaeton perreo, cumbia and disco llega El Cometa Sónico!
