From graphic novel to play - reading and discussion

The graphic novel "Blindekuh mit dem Tod" is an impressive and deeply moving story about childhoods during the Holocaust, the story of four children who survived. The story of a stolen childhood and regained freedom. The Junges Schauspiel will stage the world premiere of the story in April 2025. On this evening in the Central Library, texts from the play will be presented to the audience for the first time. After an introduction by the artistic director of Junges Schauspiel, Stefan Fischer-Fels, and Matthias Richter from the "Erinnerung lernen" association, actors from the ensemble will read texts from "Blindekuh", accompanied by Yaromyr Bozhenko on the grand piano. This will be followed by a discussion with the director Robert Gerloff. And with Herbert Rubinstein: he is one of the children who survived. We will talk to him about painful memories, courage, hope and current challenges. We promise an exciting evening, recommended for adults and young people alike.
