Ever since Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" or the latest musical excursions by US musician Post Malone, the country genre, which has long been considered old-fashioned, seems to be making its way into the mainstream. In addition to the cowboy boots trend in fashion and lifestyle, the reason for this is, above all, young musicians who are giving classic country a modern makeover - artists such as Australian Brad Cox. The musician has already released four albums in the past six years, in which he combines his Australian country with modern influences. Born in Jindabyne, a city that can safely be described as the Australian Nashville, the musician was born with the DNA of the country genre. In 2018, he immediately reached a large audience with his self-titled debut album. This was quickly followed by headline tours, award nominations and a major label deal. Cox's success has continued with his subsequent long-players. The current album "Acres" in particular suggests comparisons with Zach Bryan or Luke Combs when Cox combines elements of country pop with emotional piano ballads, between which you can even find a driving party track. His distinctive guitar sound is full of energy right from the start and at the same time warm and charismatic; on stage, the intense connection to his audience is evident, which he captivates with his down-to-earth personality and powerful performance. This December, Brad Cox will be making the long journey from Australia to Europe to perform live on two evenings in Germany - in Cologne and Berlin.
