Since 2021, the Lower German Limes (NGL) has been on the UNESCO list as a transnational, serial World Heritage Site. From Bad Breisig to Katwijk in the Netherlands, 44 sites allow visitors to experience the former outer border of the Roman Empire. Three of the selected World Heritage sites are in Cologne alone.

In order to convey the history of the NGL and its monuments, the Rheinische Verein für Denkmalpflege und Landschaftsschutz, together with the LVR-Amt für Bodendenkmalpflege im Rheinland, has brought out a compact publication. Published in the
Rheinische Landschaften" series, provides fascinating background information and lots of practical tips for visitors.

The authors provide insights into the topic and the booklet. Registration is not necessary.
