Buntspecht will release their fifth album "An das Gestern, das nie Morgen darfte wurden. I am waiting". The album is a passionate call for analog spaces and the strength of the collective. With dark romanticism, wild beauty and intense freedom, the band has reached new heights. The title suggests an in-between space, but in fact the album marks the pinnacle of their art.

The band came about rather by chance, and after turbulent years, including the surprise hit "Unter den Masken", they took some time out at the beginning of 2023. Intensive collaborative work is essential to them, and they were looking for analog spaces. In March 2023, they locked themselves away in Burgenland and developed their music in a large room. The result is a magical indie chamber pop album that shapes diverse influences into a harmonious whole.

Each song on the album opens up a new universe, points in a different direction, but together they form a magical unity. The band used their artistic freedom to weave jazz, Balkan beats, chanson and more into a unified, enchanting music. With a mix of piano intros, dramatic passages and lively lyrics, the band creates a captivating atmosphere.

Buntspecht incorporates theatrical elements into their music, influenced by their work in the theater. The album is a testament to the friendship of the five band members and their artistic vision. Without committing to a specific identity, the band creates a dystopian romanticism, wild beauty and powerful artistic freedom. With "An das Gestern, das nie Morgen darfte wurden. I'm waiting", Buntspecht present themselves as a unique force in the current musical landscape.
