LiveCoding meets percussion
Italian sound artist and creative coder Francesco Corvi and Düsseldorf drummer, percussionist and electronic musician Kai Angermann meet for the first time at the FFT in an experimental performance to explore transitions and resonances between their artistic positions.

Francesco Corvi (aka nesso) is an Italian sound and multimedia artist, lecturer and creative coder based in Berlin. His work deals with philosophical and aesthetic questions of the development of digital technologies and the intersections between computer music, new media art and deconstructed club sound. He has presented works at the Ostrava Days, the International Conference of Live Coding, Digital Arts Zurich, Spring Attitude Festival and ArteScienza.
Francesco Corvi on the net

Kai Angermann from Düsseldorf studied percussion at the Cologne University of Music and at the Drummers Collective in New York. He works as a music teacher, freelance drummer and soloist. His musical interests also include improvisational music, the electronic alienation of acoustic sounds and projects that collaborate with other art forms such as painting, video art, light art, dance and theater.

COLLAB
The COLLAB concert series brings together international and local artists to explore the creative potential of collaborative performance. The focus is on improvisation, experimentation and the linking of live coding with other forms of artistic expression.

Live coding is performative programming - a performing art in which artists write code in real time to create music or visual art. This technique makes it possible to make creative technical processes visible to the audience through projections and to involve them directly in the creation of the artwork.
Live coding is an innovative form of expression that questions the relationship between man and machine as well as art and audience in a new way.
