Cremer-Preis 2024: Ali Eslami. Line of Sight

In his works, Ali Eslami deals with the changing roles and functions of virtual worlds. To this end, he combines gaming culture with film and writing in partly immersive, digital installations. The Cremer Prize jury praised Eslami's "cinematographic experience and a spatial experience that is both real and digital and can be understood globally. The boundaries between reality and virtuality are blurred here, indicating that this practice has long since overcome geopolitical barriers.
