T he Turkish artist Elfin Açar and the Bremen artist Edeltraut Rath met by chance in Bremen's cultural landscape and have been engaged in an intensive artistic exchange ever since. Both share a love of color, form and nature. Elfin Açar comes from Bremen's twin city Izmir. She was an art scholarship holder of the Bremen Parliament before continuing her studies at the HfK Bremen. She completed her master's degree under Professor Katrin von Maltzahn. In the exhibition cross over, her large-format, abstract and color-intensive paintings enter into a dialogue with those of Edeltraut Rath, so that a visual meandering begins between similarities and demarcations between two artists of different generations who are close to each other in terms of visual language.
