Venezuela is sinking into chaos. Democracy has been abolished. Hunger has the people firmly in its grip. Two single mothers and their children are at the center of the film. Carolina fights against hunger and organizes a neighbourhood charity. To protect her daughter Victoria, she sends her to a children's home run by the nuns nearby. Kiara and her children try to get by by any means necessary. Her son Yorbenis (14) is already a criminal with his own gun. Around seven million people have migrated out of the country in recent years, and almost one million children have been left behind by the refugees.
