In the award-winning documentary "The Hearing" by filmmaker Lisa Gerig, four rejected asylum seekers relive the hearing on their reasons for fleeing and shed light on the core of the asylum process. Will the interviewees succeed this time in describing their traumatic experiences in such a way that they meet the official criteria? For the first time, the film provides an insight into the delicate interview situation and calls the asylum procedure itself into question. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director Lisa Gerig. In addition, an expert who has already advised many adult and unaccompanied minor refugees and prepared them for hearings in Germany will share his experiences.
