The second concert of the Club Culture Day will feature four stars of the Berlin jazz scene who are bursting with creativity and for whom music is an elixir of life and a "raison d'être". The favorite phrase of each of the four musicians is, if you happen to meet them on the street: "By the way, I have a really great new band project". This is usually not an exaggeration at all, but hits the nail on the head. Music in general and so many great band projects unfortunately have something ephemeral about them. The Day of Club Culture offers the opportunity to capture the vibes of one of these "really great, new bands" from 2022 on a permanent stage and hopefully in front of many listeners for a period of time in the air and make them tangible.
Rolf Thomas wrote in Jazzthetik: "The Diplomat band has actually created its own band sound that thrives on exuberance, interaction and archaic joy of playing."
It will be an absolutely swinging, groovy concert with great ideas, improvisations and a very special twist. The band "Diplomat" sees its program as a tribute to German jazz. We hope that the Federal Foreign Office will also prick up its ears.
